Molding bristles
We prepare cups(molds) for the bristles as specified by the buyer. A cup defines what density, dimensions, size, and length of bristles in a makeup brush will be. We then mold the bristles in those cups as per the quantity.
Handle and ferrule making
The next step is to make handles and ferrules in bulk based on the raw material we procure. This requires skillful workers plus machinery equipment.
If the makeup brush handles are to be plastic in material, plastic molds are prepared and then we produce handles.
If the makeup brush handles are to be wooden or bamboo, we produce them in bulk using machinery and skillful labor intervention. We also coat the handles with paint layers as per the specs provided.
We then produce ferrules in bulk and dye them as per buyer requirements. We employ both machinery and human hand for that.
This procedure (raw material purchase, molding bristles, handle and ferrule making) requires 15-20 days.
Logo printing
The time for logo printing depends on the size of the order and buyer requirements. The logo is stamped on the makeup brush handle. The methods that we can use for logo printing are

- Hot foil printing
- Screen printing
- Laser marking or engraving
- UV printing
Usually, we as a supplier require 1-2 days for logo printing.
Assembling time
When each component of a makeup brush has been made, the ultimate step is to assemble them. The bristles are glued into the ferrule. It takes 1-2 days for the glue to dry. Then the ferrule is glued into the makeup brush handle. The assembling time in our production line is 7-10 days.
Packaging time
Now it’s time to pack assembled makeup brushes and make them ready for shipment. Please note that our products pass through quality checks after each phase and only those who meet the criteria made their way out to the packaging phase.

Every factory wants to achieve economies of scale. So, they want their machinery running and labor working optimally.

Other things that might affect our lead time are Chinese public holidays. The prominent public holidays that affect the most are the Chinese Spring Festival holidays. We close down the factories to spend time with family and friends and celebrate. The official period for Spring Festival holidays is 7 days but the workers usually take leave for 20-25 days. Spring Festival usually falls between late January and mid-February.
Some restrictions by our government can also affect our lead time. Natural disasters, outbreaks, and weather severity can also affect our lead time.
